Stonecastle may know she didn't do it, and Braun may know he didn't do it, but that doesn't mean anybody else believes it besides the actual perpetrator. We still haven't heard Gordon deny that he did it either.
And nicely militant, Microraptor. Is it really right to give the sister a halo though, or were you going for gratuitous style/mysticism/symbolism there?
Yes, you are good at summoning up scum and villainy by the hive-full. I could wax appreciative for your ability to render the banality of evil, but you seem more the type to do it for the howls of protest as people's sacred cows get rendered into hamburgers of thrill, horror, mockery, and other lowbrow humour.
@ AC:
Like BUMBLEBEE and lirv correctly observed below, I went for a church window look here, in which seemingly everyone and their mother gets a halo.
More specifically, I was thinking about Saint George, because MJ herself mentioned him back here. He is a military saint - and depending on how one thinks a saint is "supposed" be, that kinda sounds like an oxymoron...
I had not read that the original story of Saint G was of him being a Roman soldier (or Persian) that was executed by the emperor for his Christianity. Thanks for the links.
It does make sense to put the sister in a halo if this is long enough after she's dead to start canonizing her. That poses some very interesting questions about what sort of world you expect to see in a hundred years that; 1) still has human civilization in it, 2) still makes religious stained glass windows, and, 3) would understand the dragon was mechanical and put the Aegis brand stamp on it.
On the other hand, I know someone has made a haloed picture of Saint Donald Trump. I would not be surprised if someone did it seriously too instead of as mockery. Compared to that I really shouldn't stumble over veneration of a person that actually makes it her life's mission to give up worldly pleasures and hunt evil.
Interesting idea that this church window could be from an (in some form or other dystopian) future.
An alternative interpretation however could be that this is MJ's counterpart from The Black Eagle, a fan comic argylefox did a while ago, in which he put the LIR-verse characters into a medieval fantasy setting... ;-)
He'll explain it in a page, somewhere around here, but 1) Chuck's buddies were gunned down on Maerc's implicit orders, and 2) he tried and failed to kill Maerc.
Ha ha ha thanks, glad to see you truckin' along however painfully. Appreciate the sub! But keep pushing those PAID pages, AP, and you don't worry about us out here in the bush leagues.

Judging from panel one, it seems Chuck is not exactly Maerc's biggest fan...
So yeah, not a fan.
(Great fan art, Microraptor! I like how you made this illo inspired by the stained glass technique.)
