Acquiring and handling explosives is far more fraught with risk than quietly and steadily buying a shit ton of guns and ammunition--at least here in 'Murica. Which begs the ugly question: how soon do you suppose someone uses a remotely operated device (read: "drone") to commit a mass shooting a la Breaking Bad?

On a less fatalistic note, anybody got a broom? (a wee bit NSFW)

Bad enough that the government has drone planes that can blindly murder masses of people from a distance, now any sufficiently skilled and heartless rando can use a robot arm, a phone app, and an assault weapon to do the job

I question when this hypothetical turns into an actual.

Granted, most mass shooters seem to be disinterested in surviving their exploits, so that's pretty limiting.

That's how (realistically) one could imagine Skynet's very first Terminator (T-1 series?) looked like: Simply autonomous guns on wheels, rather than a super-sophisticated robo-Schwarzenegger.

You say that like these things don't already exist!
